Whitening

Teeth, over time, can accumulate surface stains caused by tobacco usage and/or certain foods and beverages. They also naturally darken with age, causing many people to seek a whiter smile. If bleaching interests you, an appointment with Dr. Agharazii will allow you to determine the cause of your tooth discoloration and discuss your options in order to obtain the desired result. There are various methods that can be used to bleach teeth. Some of these options include:

  • Wearing a custom-made mouthguard filled with a special bleach for one hour a day for a period of around 14 days
  • Or a bleaching treatment in the clinic

Dr. Agharazii will work with you to determine which option best responds to your needs.

Veneers

Veneers are thin porcelain or composite coverings that attach to the front of the teeth. They are used to improve the aesthetics of teeth by:

  • improving and restoring the colour of teeth
  • improving teeth shape, texture, and angles
  • building up teeth, changing their positions, and filling gaps between them (improving spacing)

Veneers will be either in porcelain or composite depending on what material better suits your needs. A consultation with Dr. Agharazii will help you determine if this is the type of treatment you would like in order to polish your smile.

Invisalign®

If straightening your teeth interests you, a consultation with Dr. Agharazii will determine if you are a candidate for Invisalign® treatment: a virtually invisible and comfortable approach to straightening teeth. A custom-made series of clear, plastic aligners will be used to gradually shift your teeth into place. No wires or metal brackets are used, and the plastic aligners can be taken out at meals to be cleaned before being reinserted. They are used to fix various dental problems such as:

  • crooked and protruding teeth
  • malocclusion (imperfect positioning of the teeth while the jaw is closed)
  • widely gapped teeth
  • overcrowded teeth

There are many advantages to straightening your teeth, such as:

  • aesthetics (you will be happier and more confident with your smile!)
  • healthier teeth and gums
  • easier cleaning (preventing tooth decay, bad breath, oral infections, etc.)

If you are a candidate for an Invisalign® treatment, Dr. Agharazii and our staff will work with you to create a customized treatment plan through x-rays, pictures, and impressions of your teeth. Approximately every two weeks, you will receive a new custom aligner. Treatment, though variable, typically lasts about one year for adults, and around the same time as braces would for teenagers. Book a consultation today to take the first step towards your new smile!
